Targeted Call for Research - 2025
One of the objectives of the Australian Haemophilia Centre Directors’ Organisation (AHCDO) is to promote haemophilia research.
AHCDO has decided to provide funds under a Targeted Call for Research. A Targeted Call for Research is a one-time specific request for
applications to address specific areas of priority research topics where there are gaps in knowledge or an urgent need.
AHCDO invites applications for research projects in the following priority areas:
1. Von Willebrand Disease
a. Improving detection and diagnostic consistency
b. Characterisation of bleeding phenotype and disease burden
2. Peri-procedural management in patients with inherited bleeding disorders
a. Evaluation of current management practices and bleeding outcomes
3. Equitable access and treatment gaps
a. Identifying and addressing disparities in care for people with bleeding disorders
Projects should target, but do not need to be limited to, the Australian population.
Application open date: Tuesday 15 April 2025.
Application closing date: Monday 30 June 2025 at 5:00pm (AEST).

Submit the Targeted Call for Research - 2025 Application Form and attachments in a single PDF document by email to info@ahcdo.org.au by the application closing date.
You will receive an email acknowledging your application has been received by Friday 4 July 2025.
Applicants will be advised of the outcome of the application by Monday 25 August 2025.
